Job Description
PROCUREMENT MANAGER, MIT Medical, to provide sound procurement and contracting support and ensure compliance with MIT Medical’s policies/procedures. Will be responsible for preparing, analyzing, and administering all contracts/agreements and ensuring that purchases are executed with timeliness and accuracy; advising planners, project managers, and other staff on the selection of procurement methods and strategies; leading coordination of the preparation and administration of contract solicitations (i.e., responding to questions, providing technical expertise on bids, reviewing received proposals, advising when post-bid clarifications are required, and issuing contract awards in accordance with MIT policies/procedures and in compliance with local/state/federal regulations/laws); and managing staff.
Job Requirements:REQUIRED: bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or related area; at least seven years’ experience working in procurement; experience with proposal and RFP writing, development, technical writing/editing, and collaborating with subject matter experts; excellent organizational, time-management, and oral and written communication skills; solid understanding of contractual language addressing areas of risk, including PHI, PI, intellectual property rights, copyright issues, and compliance; support for MIT Medical’s
values and culture; flexible approach to responsibilities and ability to change direction when needed; attention to detail; and advanced-level knowledge of Microsoft Office. Seek a proactive, self-motivated team player who is able to learn quickly, follow directions, take ownership of and coordinate multiple projects/tasks while delivering high-quality results, and collaborate across the organization to meet objectives under time constraints.
PREFERRED: comprehensive knowledge of supply chain best practices; experience with strategic planning and sourcing, contract negotiations, cost savings, vendor management, and customer relations; and experience dealing with and first-hand knowledge of a variety of professional service providers in the healthcare industry.
